Everywhere you look, there is something to discover on Kauai. The Garden Isle is home to a wealth of activities and attractions, which means you never have to worry about hearing the dreaded words, “I’m bored.” To help you plan your unforgettable vacation with Kauai Exclusive Management, our team has put together a list of what to see on your Kauai escape.

A Checklist of 9 Kauai Attractions

There’s no shortage of attractions to explore when staying at one of our Kauai condos or vacation homes. Whether you’re looking to explore hidden gems or must-visit spots, you’re sure to find memorable places to explore.

  1. No trip to Kauai is complete without seeing the Na Pali Coast. The coastline, featuring sheer cliffs, hidden beaches, and waterfalls, is best explored on a boat or helicopter tour.
  2. Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waimea Canyon is home to lush and colorful scenery. We recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds and allow yourself plenty of time to stop at scenic pull-outs along the drive.
  3. Visit Spouting Horn Blowhole during high tide. The natural blowhole on the lava-rock coast is where seawater is forced through tunnels. High tide means a bigger spray!
  4. Explore stunning sights at Limahuli Garden & Preserve. The botanical garden and cultural preserve bring together native flora, taro terraces, and a scenic valley.
  5. Found near Lihue, Wailua Falls is an easily viewable waterfall that’s the perfect backdrop for your group photos. Because it’s so easily accessible, it can get crowded, so try to go earlier in the day.
  6. Perched on cliffs, the Kilauea Lighthouse and Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge offer seabird viewing and dramatic ocean vistas. This is one of the best places to view a breathtaking sunset.
  7. If you’re looking for an adventurous spot, head to Polihale State Park. The remote west-coast park can be challenging to reach, but the long white-sand beach and unbelievable views make it worth it.
  8. The Menehune Fishpond is a lesser-visited cultural and historic site. Also known as Alekoko Fishpond, the ancient fishpond near the Hūlēʻia River is a quieter stop than others on this list.
  9. One of the most intriguing natural wonders on Kauai is the Maniniholo Dry Cave, which stretches roughly 300 feet deep. Found across from Haena Beach Park, the lava-formed cavern can easily be explored on foot.
